HI. Inspired by John Darko's YouTube video I am setting up a Raspberry Pi Streamer/DAC to play FLAC files from my Synology DS214SE using LMS. I am new to LMS and Squeezeboxes but the software looks great and seems really intuitive. I can see why John Darko raves about it!!
Whilst I wait for the parts to arrive I have successfully installed the package on my NAS and it has scanned my music collection and artwork. Accessing LMS on my NAS from my PC (using the web GUI) everything looks correct. I have artwork and tagging. So here is my question... Am I correct in thinking that when I select a track I should be able to play it from my NAS on my PC? At present if I press any of the play buttons on any track, FLAC or MP3 nothing happens. The play button turns to pause but there is no progress displayed or any sound. Maybe I am missing something? Also, this may be related I am trying out Squeezer on a Android phone and this reports that no players are detected. Any help would be appreciated.
