Just for clarity, the problem does also occur from the normal 'albums by artist' menu. I only mentioned that alternate menu to indicate that I could replicate it via more than one method. Don't worry about spending time on finding a fix - it's gotta be a pretty rare scenario to have >100 items for a single artist and it's not a huge issue.
