Well, that could be confusing, especially late in the observing session when folks are getting groggy. After all, your "screensaver" could tell us whether it's worth hanging out until dawn! I, for one, certainly wouldn't want to be misled. Technically, if your last time period is until 4am, then the "update" shouldn't occur until after 4am. I'm from the school that you put in the time to build something once and build it right. Those are my thoughts.
