You need to have MusicIP started before Slimserver so that slimserver sees the musicIP service. There are tips on the forum for how to set this up so that both are services. If you run MusicIP manually, then you will need to restart slimserver after starting MusicIP. You can confirm that slimserver found MusicIP by checking that there is the use MusicMagic option in server settings.
