Thanks phillipe44 for adding this option. Unfortunately it does not seem
to work:-(

"port_base" is saved to the shairtunes.prefs file, but "port_range" is
not, it's always set to "~"(See previous post from cbueche)

I then tried to stop LMS and edit the shairtunes.prefs file manually, so
it looks like this:
port_base: '46000'
port_range: '60'
I then saved the file and started LMS, but still the opened ports by the
shairtune helper is totally random. Here's the output from
Code:
--------------------
    ps aux | grep shair
--------------------
(redacted to remove ID's

Code:
--------------------

  lms      32686  0.1  0.0  75756     4 ?        Sl   15:55   0:00
/config/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ShairTunes2W/Bin/shairport_helper-x64-linux
 -dns host 10.0.1.8 XXXXX@Squeeze1 _raop._tcp 45141 tp=UDP sm=false sv=false
ek=1 et=0,1 md=0,1,2 cn=0,1 ch=2 ss=16 sr=44100 pw=false vn=3 txtvers=1
am=shairtunes2
  lms      32692  0.2  0.0  75756     4 ?        Sl   15:55   0:00
/config/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ShairTunes2W/Bin/shairport_helper-x64-linux
 -dns host 10.0.1.8 XXXXX@Squeeze1 _raop._tcp 33421 tp=UDP sm=false sv=false
ek=1 et=0,1 md=0,1,2 cn=0,1 ch=2 ss=16 sr=44100 pw=false vn=3 txtvers=1
am=shairtunes2
  lms      32694  0.2  0.0  75756     4 ?        Sl   15:55   0:00
/config/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ShairTunes2W/Bin/shairport_helper-x64-linux
 -dns host 10.0.1.8 XXXXXX@Squeeze3 _raop._tcp 34835 tp=UDP sm=false sv=false
ek=1 et=0,1 md=0,1,2 cn=0,1 ch=2 ss=16 sr=44100 pw=false vn=3 txtvers=1
am=shairtunes2
  root     32734  0.0  0.0   5352   756 pts/0    R+   15:55   0:00 grep
--color=auto shair

--------------------

As you can see the helper program is opening ports 45141, 33421 and
34835 even though the "port_base" and "port_range" are set in the .prefs
fiile

Again, thanks for looking into this!
