The "DNS" message is misleading but it does indicate a "problem". At startup slimserver checks for the presence of DNS servers - if it can't finds them it logs their unavailability. This can happen if slimserver starts up as part of startup and the networkconnection is not fully online - it can take a while (maybe 30c or a 1min) for DNS servers to be setup.
The result of the DNS check is only used for some HTTP transfers (mainly related to setting up an audio stream) but not the main AlienBBC parsing ones. So your DNS is working but it wasn't when SLimserver started and some of the main Slimserver code is looking at the remembered status which says "DNS not available". That explains the problem and a number of uiser shave experienced but restarting just Slimserver usually resolved it. When you restarted Slimserver - did you restart without rebooting the system ? -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35238 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
