Hmm, I must be a little slow today. I'm not sure if the "Yes" refers to my suggestion or to the way it is shown on the website. If I should follow the drawing then I have to get an XLR to 1/4" interface cable, as I use balanced outputs to my preamp. What I offered is based on the premise that what is really going on is a "comparison" of the test signal as it is played through the speakers, to one that is fed directly to the recorder as a "controlled source". If that is behind the method, then I think it makes more sense to use the other set of outputs - as long as absolute amplitude is not used in the analysis. My main D/A out is balanced, the secondary out is RCA, so there is a gain difference. But if that's not relevant to the measurement, I'd then be getting the same circuit path (minus the few component differences between the XLR and RCA out) feeding both inputs to the M-Audio.
OTOH, I may be way off base on this. -- tonyptony ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tonyptony's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35250 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
