Is it just me, or does anyone else notice a difference in sound quality listening on the new sounds app vs the old iplayer app ? On BBC 6 live stream from sounds app, LMS reports 320 kbps CBR, 48kHz, BBC Sounds. On iplayer app, the stream technical info says 339 kbps VBR, AAC. To my ears, the iplayer app sounds better (of course, only live streams available now). I dont know what compressed format sounds is using, but I know that in general AAC is an improvement on mp3 to my ears.
