Provide full info (processor, OS, platform, LMS version, CDplayer version) about YOUR system - if it is same as the post you quoted - first update processor, OS & LMS. Provide the output from cdda2wav showing whether devices on your system can be "seen" by cdda2wav. If you have a weird device like the Samsung Optical Smarthub - I suspect it is too old to be supported.
