I mentioned iPeng since it's the app I usually use to control my music (on my Android tab I use Orange squeeze but I almost all cases I use my iPhone). When the volume jumps on the Pi Zero it's of course audible but it's also visible in iPeng as well as on the apple watch (both volume bars are maxed out in most cases) .
The Pi Zero's volume in LMS is not fixed (hence the volume jumps are possible).
