One improvement that would make configuration quicker for now would be to make 
the settings button at the bottom of the custom browse page go to the settings 
of the current context.  So if I am trying to get a menu working, I can browse 
the menu, and click settings to directly edit the menu, rather than list all 
menus and find the one I want to edit (it's displaying the list page that is 
the slowest part).

I've found an alternative method for quickly applying and trying edits - open 
two web browser windows ;)
