I have both a Transporter and a Squeezebox and I had a real problem prior to Erland's plugins. I have my music library segregated into two subfolders under a single master folder. One subfolder has all the albums that contain stereo music ripped to mpg files, and the other contains encoded 5.1 surround music (DTS) ripped to FLAC files. If I am playing through an anlaog system I NEVER want to play the encoded music but if playing through a Digital system the encoded files are fine to play.
The Squeezebox only plays through an analog system so I this set up to only use the sub folder that has the MPG files. In its display it does not say "Browse" but rather "Stereo Music". It uses another plugin - IR Blaster; to automaitcally turn on and off its associated power amplifier. The Transporter plays through both types of systems. When played locally in the Music room it plays through a digital system so it knows about the master music folder and says "Browse" in its display. When it is playing through the analog system, it is controlled by touch screens and their displays only know about the folder containing the stereo music so all that can be selected from the touchscreens is stereo music. Great enhancement (for me) as it completely solved my problem.
