Can you create mixes via the webinterface on port 10002 or start other commands there? I guess your server is working, other users reported this failure message before, see page 3, while the server was working for them. The server is not sent to the background, therefore your terminal is blocked, that is normal as well and you have to kill the server or close the terminal to stop it.
