I am not sure about your question.
In principle, Music IP still works on multiple systems (assuming LMS and
MusicIP servers are on the same system) for your entire library:
- Linux-based with X86 hardware
- Windows sysetem
- Raspberries, but some effort to make it happen (see
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?106958-Success-MusicIP-and-Spicefly-Sugarcube-running-on-Raspberry-Pi)
For LMS there are also two great plugins to provide the results of the
MusicIP services (MusicIP built in, Sugarcube, great plugin but you have
to pay for the license). Sugarcube also allows to run the server on a
different system versus the MusicIP svery.
However MusicIP is closed source and we rely on binaries compiled
multiple years ago. Looking long-term ahead and the spirit of LMS, we
should think about an open source implementation....
