OK I finally found something that works:
I had read that symbolic links might work- I gave that a try but had limited success. Bash command line could see it just fine, same with Midnight commander. File station did not see it but that is a long term bug from what I read. Needless to say LMS did not see it ether - and since file station can't see it, you can't assign acl permissions. Synology has a proprietary command tool to do this but it is undocumented - I may screw around with this later but there is a much easier way using samba. This works but you still have to assign everyone to your second folder. I also had to restart LMS but it worked like a charm. https://www.albertogonzalez.net/how-to-create-a-symbolic-link-to-a-folder-on-a-synology-nas/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ fletch's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71552 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111876 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
