Some changes were made to the plugin to prevent unnecessary data
refreshes and to handle games that span past midnight eastern (west
coast, etc).
Revert any changes you made back to what they were and instead modify
line 3291:

'') { #5AM EST start refreshing a new day

Change the >4 part to whatever time you want to start showing the
current day's games. Currently it's >4 meaning 5am eastern. If I
remember right that should do it for you after a restart.
