Sorry, no idea. I doubt that this has anything to do with the plugin - the code i user to generate the menus is basic standard stuff. What do you use to control these Chromecast-things? A web browser or one of the Android/iOS apps? Are you able to play the album by browsing to it with the standard menus of your squeezeserver?
