Two possibilities. 1. There is somehting wrong in tempfile and it assume temportary files always have to be on drive C. 2. When you checked permissions - did you check the permission nad owner of the directory holding the "My Playlists". On drive D the root directory may have been protected whereas on C it is "normal" for any user to be able to alter root directory.
