Hi Pippin: First of all, I apologize if this question has been answered yet.
For years, I have been using LMS 7.7.x (in a Synology NAS) and former versions with my Squeezebox 3 (SB3). Also for years, I have been using your iPeng (and iPeng FLAC plugins) versions in my iPhone and in my iPad. I am very satisfied with all this. Recently LMS 7.7.x stopped working (it is not compatible with last Perl version) in my Synology and this package is an EOL release. Synology does not want to upgrade to version 8.x. I dont know the reason. There are much upgrade requests but I dockerized LMS to last version 8.1.1. and it works very well. It seems it has a very good new features for streaming services. I.e. the Spotify artwork has little icons when you choose a Spotify disc. I toke a look to some features using iPeng and see that it seems than iPeng cant manage this artwork. Are you going to release a new update (or upgrade) compatible with this? For me it is very interesting to know if I am using a Spotify (streaming) version or a local version.
