WiMP's seek bar just hangs the player for anything other than minor jumps. From my general experience, I think WiMP's FLAC plugin is a bit flaky.
I'm not sure how the song scanner plugin is meant to work - at first glance, the plugin's description doesn't sound like FFwd/REw functionality. I'll have a quick look though.
