No you can't because the UPnP/DLNA standard do not allow on-the-fly
metadata update. The only way around, and I'm trying to use it as much
as possible, is to use the Shoutcast/ICY protocol which allows mangling
of some metadata with the HTTP stream, but it only really works for aac
and mp3, hence the only solution to reliably have metadata is to force
mp3 re-encoding. Still, you'll get title/artist and on a few players
artwork, but that's all.
