You have to go to the Spotify list of available devices. The problem I have is that sometimes my SB3 is not in the list of available devices. To solve this, I have to power on the SB3 and to play a song. I don’t know what is happening.
Spotty has a confusing number of options and modes to interact with. From your description I assume you're talking about the Connect mode. This mode unfortunately isn't very stable. But usually the players should show up automatically after a minute or two. You can check the server.log to see whether Spotty is reporting anything.
