Thanks for the suggestions. I have installed the SoftSqueeze program and am able to run it, but the screen comes up mostly blank.
Question: Does the applet use graphical interface items or standard text-based tabs, dialog boxes, etc.? Since I am visually impaired, I needed to download the Java Access Bridge to enable Java apps to interact properly with my screen reader and pass along the appropriate UI info. When I start the SoftSqueeze app, however, nothing appears visible to my screen reader. I also had my sighted wife look at the screen and she didn't see anything sensible or any way of controlling the SB. I've been looking for documentation on how to run SoftSqueeze, but all I see is installation notes and FAQ's for folks who have it installed and running and have specific problems. Any suggestions? Maybe we're getting close here.
