It's true for all players. AFAIR, LMS strips out the mp3 header when sending the audio data. The slimproto "play" message sent to players contains the replaygain and an HTTP link where to get the audio data (with header stripped). So a normal player will use replaygain to X the samples. In the case of bridges, I have the replaygain but changing the volume of the player based on it is an odd thing that I'm not doing.
