I'll try submitting a correction. Although to be honest the correct
review is hardly worth reading like a lot of allmusic album reviews as
if the review supplier really couldn't be bothered to write anything.
Their review of "Love Over Gold" only contains three sentences
concluding with
"Since Mark Knopfler is a skilled, tasteful guitarist, he can sustain
interest even throughout the languid stretches, but the long,
atmospheric, instrumental passages aren't as effective as the group's
tight blues-rock, leaving Love Over Gold only a fitfully engaging
listen."
I always thought it was one of their best albums but then I'm not a
