Let's see if others report the same thing.
On startup it iterates through the stationdata files in the plugin to ingest the configuration. I suppose that a very very slow disk could make that take a few seconds at most. >From then on the station data is held in memory. When you go to the settings page it iterates through the list of broadcasters (in memory now) to build the set of checkboxes. The amount of time that takes is dependent on the number of broadcasters - not on whether or not they are enabled or disabled. So enabling/disabling should not make any difference there. When running it should only be memory that is consumed by having more or less enabled broadcasters - but should not make any significant difference to CPU time. Sounds strange.
