The Spotty helper version you're using (v0.35.0) is _very_ old. Are you really running on a Pi0 or first generation Pi? Can't you use the latest version? I'm not saying that all problems are resolved in the latest builds, but if you're stuck with a build from a year or longer ago, then there's nothing we can do anyway.
