With all 'the great help from @mherger and @gordonb3'
(forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?115324-LMS-8-1-Webserver-folder-structure-and-CGI-PHP-scripts&highlight),
GRUVI is finally able to run directly on
LMS' own web server on port 9000, removing the need for an additional
web server!:

Here are all the updates since my last post:
(in case there is one other person, if any, on Earth that might be
interested...) ;-)

'v3.1, 2021.10.30:' (https://github.com/Vegz78/GRUVI/releases)

conversions under certain condition with many simultaneous calls to
gruvi.php
-Added option to choose GRUVI logo as first image on slideshow start
-Added output buffer flush for faster display of image URL list when
running gruvi.php on independent web servers

v3.0, 2021.10.28:
-Added changes to allow running directly in the LMS' internal web
server
-Added option to choose between serial and parallel conversion of
images
-Changed image folder to gruvi_img and .lst files to .txt files

v2.0, 2020.09.10:
-Added possibility to choose multiple image folders with internal
weighting of number of random image selections from each folder.
