The "m" with bars above/below it in the player inteface is used by both
TrackStat and MusicIP, so this doesn't indicate that MusicIP is
working.

The MM icon in the web interface on the other hand is only used by
MusicIP, so if you see this you know MusicIP is working.

The critical things to get MusicIP integration to work is:
1. MusicIP must be started before SlimServer
2. The API must be started in MusicIP, I guess you are talking about
the "Start" button that starts the API. If this is shown as enabled it
means the API isn't started.
3. In SlimServer Server Settings you must have checked the "Use
MusicMagic" optioin. This option will only be available if MusicIP
already is started when SlimServer starts, after you have changed it I
think you need to restart SlimServer.

I've only used MusicIP on Linux but I remember that when I used it and
hit the "Start" button to start the API it seemed to stop sometimes
after a few seconds. The solution was to run the headless version which
is started by running "MusicMagicServer start" instead of launching the
MusicMagic GUI. I'm not sure how this works on Windows, but I would
guess you would definitely need to somehow run MusicIP as a Windows
service and it needs to be started before the SlimServer service.
