Think of bash as a programming language the script is written in. It needs your system to have an interpreter installed to run it. If you are comfortable using ssh to access your nas then you could try running the ngrok executable manually / interactively just to see if it works. If it does then we can point you to configuring it. All the script does is download it and then configure it with the required parameters.
