The downloadable menu templates is the latest ones available, it might be menu templates which hasn't been released yet. This makes it possible for me to provide new/updated menu templates without always releasing a new version of Custom Browse (or the other plugins).
However, sometimes the latest version of the templates isn't compatible with the latest released Custom Browse version. This is the case when you are seeing that error message and you aren't able to download the menu template since it wouldn't work correctly in your setup anyway.
