Have you tweaked the registry settings to optimise downloads or run a utility which might have done it or have you a very fast internet link or a satellite internet link ? If so then try the fix below. A side effect of the mod is that "Listen Again" will take about 15 secs to start playing instead of 3 secs.
In the Plugins/Alien directory there is a file called custom-convert.conf. Make a copy of this file so you can revert. Edit it with Wordpad not Notepad. Remove all the "--bandwidth=10000000" from the RTSP lines. Restart Slimserver and see if it helps.
