fixed the problem on mine by going to windows xp task manager (with softsqeeze running) >applications> right click on softsqueeze <go to process> right click on the highlighted process <set priority> <realtime>
I'm in the more I know the more I know I don't know stage, but now all is well. Just still trying to figure out how to sync my softsqueeze with a squeezebox- the softsqueeze will not let me select the ip address where the slimserver is located- the only ip address listed is the ip address of the squeezebox.
