This indeed should work, but installing & running Squeezelite manually
on a Linux system often isn't that easy due to permissions and/or audio
middleware/engines/daemons like Pipewire, Alsa and/or PulseAudio that
might be present on your system. Not long ago that was the reason I gave
it up with a self-configured Squeezelite for my Debian/Ubuntu systems.
