First - what are the symptoms/effects of the problem as socketwrapper may not be the real cause ?
There are many security apps and they can have different levels - typically socketwrapper.exe (and slimserver.exe) may have to be added as "trusted", "approved", "exempted" to firewall, spyware and an anti-virus.
