Thanks for reply. I agree its a bit weird. I had missed out on the introduction of Direct Streaming - is there an explanation anywhere as to what it means.
I like being independent of the PC but it would appear that more work needs to be done. If I cannot control / change the "stream" via the Slim Server, because the PC is off, I then need to be able to do it intuitively via my SB remote, at the moment it sort of locks in to whatever is being streamed at the time the PC is turned off, and I cannot interact at all - cant even adjust volume on the SB, although obviously I can via my amplifier.
