A new version 0.2 of the Google Calendar plugin is available. I added a screensaver mode. It shows the calendar events of the current day as a ticker line. It's still very alpha but a little bit more useful than the 0.1 version :-).
Remark: before using you need to add your Google calendar account information on the Plugins page.
