Hi Greg, you might have missed this in my post, but I dont have any issues playing back my mp3's and wma files with much, much greater bandwidth via the same conditions (Slimserver, SSH, Softsqueeze). However, I noticed that if I play FLAC audio it has the same problem.
I already tried manually limited the bandwidth in Slimserver (even really low), but it didnt make a difference. There seems to be some kind of bug.
