Yes, both are possible.

To make more than 9 bands:
* From the EQ -> Presets menu, save your current settings under a new
name.
* In the InguzEQ application data "Settings" folder (C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Application Data\InguzEQ\Settings, on Windows), look
for the presets file you just saved.  Open in a text editor.
* Find the line <EQ Bands="nnn"> and set "nnn" to the number of bands
you want.  eg: <EQ Bands="12">
* Make sure there are as many "<Band>...</Band>" entries as you
specified bands.  Also make sure the frequencies are in increasing
order...
* Save.
* Then from the EQ -> Presets menu, load the preset you just saved and
edited - it should have all the bands you wanted.

To adjust the center frequency of any band, just go "right" from
setting the level of that band, using the remote, and you'll get into a
frequency-editing mode.  Changes save immediately.
