Hello, I apologize in advance if these questions have been addressed in previous thread(s).
I am trying to run SoftSqueeze on my Linux machine with little luck. I am running SuSE 10.2 (freshly installed & updated), Java 1.5 from Sun, and v3.4 of SoftSqueeze. When I attempt to run it, the first issue I encounter is a pop-up window that reads: "Sorry Softsqueeze could not find a sound card on your computer." I have already verified that my sound card is working correctly, and SoftSqueeze does not print any error messages to the terminal. So that is issue #1..... If I dismiss that window, the SoftSqueeze GUI appears, and it attempts to connect to my SlimServer via SSH. I am prompted for my password and, when I enter it, the following Exception is raised: Exception in thread "SlimTCP-1" java.lang.NullPointerException at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.audio.Player.slimprotoConnected(Player.java:315) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol.socketConnected(Protocol.java:380) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol.access$300(Protocol.java:42) at org.titmuss.softsqueeze.net.Protocol$TcpSocket.run(Protocol.java:502) Any ideas on how to get by any of these would be welcomed!
