Since I do this on my spare time without economical compensation I can't
promise any exact time schedule, but my hope is to release a version of
most of my plugins for 7.0 within the next month. Which also means that
they should be available before SqueezeCenter 7.0 is officially
released. If everything works well a beta version of the first plugins
should be available in a week or two. This can of course take a lot
more time if I don't get in the mood to do it (which happens from time
to time).

Anyway, the current status is:
*Custom Scan*: A first version is ready for beta testing, but I haven't
released it yet since it isn't useful without at least SQL Playlist for
Custom Browse.

*Dynamic Playlist*: Almost working, just some small adjustments and
some testing before it can be released. I'll probably release it as
soon as SQL Playlist is ready.

*SQL PlayList*: Not started, will probably be the next one after
Dynamic Playlist.

*Custom Browse*: Not started, will probably be the next one after SQL
PlayList.

*Multi Library*: Not started, will probably be the next one after
Custom Browse.

*Database Query*: Not started, will probably be the next one after
Multi Library

*TrackStat*: Not started. I suspect this is the one that is going
through most changes for 7.0. I might make a version that works exactly
as the 6.5 version first, but it really needs a lot of internal changes
since the code takes to much time to maintain at the moment. I'm
thinking about releasing a version that just handles the persistent
storage of statistics, without the MusicIP, iTunes, Amarok integration
modules and without the statistics viewing menus and without the
dynamic playlists. The reason is that the basic parts doesn't need a
rewrite, but the statistic viewing menus and dynamic playlists does.
Would a version like this be useful enough ?
It would mean that the only way you could use the statistics would be
through SQL Playlist or Custom Browse plugins.

*Custom Skip*: Will probably be next after TrackStat

*Remove Played Songs*: Will probably not be released on 7.0, unless
there are a lot of interests for it. It's a really simple plugin, so
anyone with some perl knowledge should be able to convert it if
necessary.

*Random Playlist*: I will not make a 7.0 version of this since SQL
Playlist provides the same functionality.

*iPod plugin*: Not even released for 6.5 yet. I'll probably continue
working with it after the released plugins have been converted.

The only reason I plan to do "Database Query" and "Multi Library"
before TrackStat is that they contain a lot of similar code to the
"Custom Browse" and "SQL Playlist" plugins, due to this I expect the
conversion of "Database Query" and "Multi Library" to go pretty quick.

At some point I also plan to look at Jive, but I feel like it is a
goods idea to get the plugins up and running on 7.0 without Jive
support first.

If people are interested in beta testing the plugins in an early state,
I'm interested to know this.
Before you announce that you like to beta test you should be aware of
that this means that you can't be sure that any data you collect or
configuration you make will be possible to use in the final version.
I'm guessing that this could be problematic if you use TrackStat,
because it would mean that you can't trust that your statistics
collected during the beta testing can be used in the final version.

Finally I'm also very interested in knowing if there are any things you
feel needs a major improvement or change in the plugins in the 7.0
version.

One thing that is going to happen is that all configuration options
will be moved into "Server Settings" instead of accessing them under
the "Plugins" menu on the home page. As an example this means that
"Custom Scan" has been totally moved into "Server Settings".
