I think that's getting a little closer. SlimServer is now called SqueezeCenter and so the plugin should be under SqueezeCenter/Plugins and the SlimServer folder is irrelevant now. That's why you're not getting any logs going into SlimServer when you restart it - it's all going into the SqueezeCenter directory tree.
Could you get hold of the logs from the SqueezeCenter installation and attach those or send them to me off-list?
