OK, I am going to answer this myself and then ask another question. By searching old threads, I found out that to get Moose to work, you have to enable CLI in Slimserver (in the plug-ins section). Once I did that, Moose worked and found the server, etc.
Unfortunately, it won't scan the database. I get the error, "problem connecting to MYSql server: Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts."
