I did search and whilst I have read posts on general difficulty of exact sync, I am having other issues which I couldnt find much detail on. There were hundreds of posts tho, and I couldnt read them all :)
If I try and sync Softsqueeze I dont just have a problem with the track going slightly out of sync. Not ideal but I could live with that. And great to hear about the new sync API. But often SoftSqueeze or the hardware Squeezeboxes complete freeze up. Sometimes some just stop producing sound, even though they idicate they are playing. Sometimes this is resolvable by pressing pause and play. Sometimes the soft or hardware players completely freeze and I have to kill/power off the players. And sometimes the slimserver too.
