Michael: I just tried installing your slimnas-0.9.tgz beta with the the
latest version of FreeNAS (0.686b1) and the
SlimServer_trunk_v2007-11-17.no-cpan-arch.tar.gz nightly.
The installation seems to go OK, but SqueezeCenter always reports
"Failed" after rebooting.
I can get SC to run once by creating a "slimserver" group & user and
setting the ownership and permissions on the slimnas tree and then
involking "perl slimserver.pl" under this account. SC initializes,
creates the DB and the web interface walks me through the setup wizard.
I can even play music on my SB3.
But after a reboot, the FreeNAS extension web interface always shows SC
as "failed" and I can't get it to run under the "slimserver" account
either. The permissions on the squeezecenter tree are always reset on
reboot.
mysqld fails to start with this warning:
