I would like to use my squeezebox 3 to turn on/off my entire stereo (to reduce standby power) but I would also like to send IR commands by using IR blaster to my amplifier. Since both plugins use the tip (left channel) of the 3.5mm connector it is not possible to use both at the same time. Is it possible to modify the more simple PowerSwitch II plugin in order to use ring (right channel)? Does the squeezebox hw/firmware support this?
