Ok , that was it. I quit. Finally decided to migrate from FreeNAS to Debian Etch. Installing was fast & simple. Samba and rsync installed. Repositories from slimdevices included in de sources.list and the beta of squeezecenter installed. Was a breeze!
Now playing, somewhat slower webgui than slimserver, but the squeezebox rapidly respons to the remote control.
