Thanks for the responses. bpa: I do know others have AlienBBC streaming BBC radio to media players by transcoding it to an mp3 stream. It just doesn't want to work for me.
Siduhe: I'm running the server on a "vanilla" XP installation on my private LAN, so no firewall & low security setting for local intranet.
