In SS 6.5 - you could skip ffwd/rew using the remote and the web interface.
In SC7 - I think only the web interface provides the skip ffwd/rew. The ability of a plugin to "grab " the FFWD/REW button pushes on remote is not available. It is a known issue but I think will not be addressed in 7.0.
