That means mplayer is not on your path. You will need to provide the full path for mplayer.
However if it works OK with softsqueeze then the problem is a settings as AlienBBC will be sending a Flac or MP3 stream to SB. What is the AlienBBC stream sent as to Softqueeze and to SB (probabluy either Flac or MP3) ? Are they the same ?
